Export transactions

Produce a CSV file of the transactions displayed or receive the PDF statement by e-mail, and know where the file is saved on each device.

The Export menu on the Transactions screen offers two outputs: a CSV (.csv) file produced on the device from the lines displayed, and a « PDF par e-mail » (PDF by e-mail) statement generated by the server. Both respect the filters in force.

What you will do

  • Filter the list to keep only the lines you want.
  • Choose the format in Export.
  • Find the file on your device or in your mailbox.

Prepare the list

  1. Choose the source tab (All sources, Internal, Bank Sync, Stripe, Mollie).
  2. Set the period with the date button (All dates by default).
  3. Open Filters to narrow down: From / To, direction (All, « Entrées (+) » money in, « Sorties (−) » money out), payment method, source, Contact, document (With document / Without document), Minimum / Maximum. Click Apply; the Filters button shows the number of active criteria.
  4. Use the search field "Search by document, supplier, reason, amount..." to target a line.
Exporting the filtered list as CSV or receiving the PDF statement
  1. Prepare the list first: source tab, search and filters.
  2. Click Export in the header.
  3. The menu offers the CSV file or the PDF by email.
  4. Choose the PDF by email to receive the statement.
  5. The PDF statement window opens.
  6. Check the recipient email address.
  7. The Send button generates the statement and emails it.

Export to CSV

  1. Click Export, then CSV (.csv).
  2. On a computer, a save dialog suggests the name transactions_2026-10-06.csv; choose the location and confirm.
  3. The message "Export ready: transactions_2026-10-06.csv" confirms.
Column Content
Date dd/mm/yyyy
Amount Signed amount, comma as decimal separator (-169,40)
Payment Type Name of the payment method
Attachment Number of the linked document
Contact Customer or supplier
Reason Description entered
Source Internal, Bank Sync, Stripe, Mollie, Cash book, Peppol

The file uses the semicolon as separator, quoted values and UTF-8 encoding with a byte order mark: it opens directly in Excel and Numbers with accented characters intact.

Warning

The CSV contains the lines displayed on screen, in other words the current page. Increase the number of lines per page in the pagination, or export page by page, to cover a long period. If the list is empty, the message « Aucune transaction à exporter. » (no transaction to export) is shown.

Where the file is saved

Platform Location
macOS, Windows, Linux Save dialog: you choose the folder; cancelling writes nothing
iOS The app's documents folder, visible in the Files app under Novadesko
Android The app's documents folder
Web browser Direct download to the downloads folder

Receive the PDF statement

  1. Click Export, then « PDF par e-mail ».
  2. In « Relevé des transactions (PDF) » (transaction statement, PDF) ("« Le relevé est généré sur le serveur et envoyé par e-mail. »", the statement is generated on the server and sent by e-mail), check the Email Address, prefilled with yours.
  3. Click Send. The message « Envoyé à adresse@exemple.com » (sent to adresse@exemple.com) confirms.

The statement covers the filtered period, the totals per payment type, the total money in, money out and the balance, the cash book movements listed separately and the Stripe fees separated from the amounts collected.

Note

The Excel (.xlsx) export and the direct PDF download exist on web.novadesko.com, with the Send a copy by email option. The app is limited to the local CSV and the PDF by e-mail.

Tip

For your accountant, prefer the PDF by e-mail with the Last month period: it is produced from every line of the period, regardless of pagination.
