Notifications

The bell and its panel, the Notifications page, the alert families, marking as read, the desktop app's system notifications and the e-mail settings.

The notification centre gathers what happened on your account while you were away: a support ticket that changed status, an invoice received on Peppol, an integration to reconnect. You reach it through the bell in the floating bar, and each notification leads to the relevant screen in one click.

The bell and its panel

The floating bar at the top of the window slides out on hover. Its Notifications button (bell icon) carries a badge with the number of unread items, refreshed every 60 seconds. A click opens the Notifications panel on the right edge (as a drawer from the bottom on a phone):

Area Content
Header "n unread" or "All up to date", Mark all as read, View all link to the full page.
Filters All and Unread, with the counter.
List Icon, title, age, text. An unread row is highlighted; on hover, the Mark as read tick appears.
Footer "Automatic refresh" and the Refresh link.

Click a row: it is marked as read and the linked screen opens (document, ticket, conversation, record, transactions, Peppol Inbox). A link outside Novadesko opens in your browser.

The Notifications page

View all leads to the Notifications page ("Stay informed about all activity on your account"). The header counts TOTAL and UNREAD; Mark all as read stays greyed out when there is nothing to read.

The Notifications page with an unread notification on top
  1. The header counts all notifications and the unread ones.
  2. Each tab shows its count.
  3. An unread notification stands out.
  4. The action link opens the related screen.
  5. Mark it as read without opening it.
  6. A message confirms the action.
  1. Choose the All, Unread or Read tab; each shows its count.
  2. Each card shows the icon, title, text, age and, where relevant, chips: amount, customer, document or ticket number. An unread notification carries the NEW badge.
  3. The action link (Reconnect Google Calendar, View details) or a click on the card opens the relevant screen. Mark as read marks it read without opening it.
  4. The page loads 20 notifications at a time; « Charger plus » (load more) shows the next ones.

System notifications on desktop

On macOS, Windows and Linux, the app relays new notifications as native system alerts, under the name Novadesko. It polls the server every 90 seconds and shows at most three alerts per pass. At the first sign-in on a device, the history is not replayed. On iPhone, the mobile app asks for permission to send push notifications on its first launch.

Tip

To silence the native alerts without quitting the app, use your system's notification settings (on macOS: System Settings, Notifications, Novadesko). The panel and the page keep working.

Choosing what you receive

E-mails and alerts are set in User profile, Notifications section, with switches grouped under « Activité commerciale » (business activity) (new customer, order, invoice, receipt, payment), Peppol (Peppol invoice received, Peppol invoice paid) and Account (Security alerts, « Notifications dans l'application » (in-app notifications), Newsletter, « Nouvelles fonctionnalités » (new features)). Each change is saved straight away.

Other e-mails have their own setting: « Me prévenir par e-mail » (notify me by e-mail) in Settings > Peppol, automatic sending of documents in Settings > Documents, the Bank Sync e-mails. They are not part of the 21 company settings sections, see Other sections.

Warning

Switching off « Notifications dans l'application » (in-app notifications) cuts off the notification centre and push notifications: you will no longer see support replies or pending Peppol documents. Prefer switching off family by family.
