Technical FAQ

Short answers to technical questions about the MCP connector: registration, companies, scopes, 401 errors, Peppol, data and plans.

For everyday use, see also the help center, AI integrations category.

Do I need to create an OAuth client by hand?

No, except for Gemini Enterprise. Other clients register themselves (dynamic registration).

Can I access several companies?

One connection gives access to one company, chosen at authorization. Another company needs another connection (or reconnecting and picking the other one).

Why does a tool not show up in tools/list?

The list depends on the granted scopes: without write, no write-scope prepare_* tools; without send, neither prepare_email nor prepare_reminder.

Why does the call return 401?

The access token expired (1 hour): the client must use its refresh token. If the connection was revoked, or after 30 days without a refresh, a new authorization is needed.

Can the AI send an invoice over Peppol?

No. It can read the Peppol status and prepare an activation request to the team, but Peppol sending stays a manual step in Novadesko.

Does Novadesko store my conversations?

No. Novadesko only receives tool calls and writes a summary to the audit log. The conversation is kept by the AI provider under its terms.

What if a feature is not in my plan?

The tool returns a refusal with the minimum plan that includes it, its price (read from the database at call time) and the link to change plan or turn on the add-on.

Which web clients are accepted?

Responses include the CORS headers needed (Authorization, Mcp-Session-Id, Mcp-Protocol-Version) for MCP clients running in a browser.

What about the old secret URL /api/mcp/claude/...?

That is the former read-only mode, without company choice or preview. Prefer the OAuth connector and revoke the old URL in Integrations, Claude, if you no longer use it.
