Beneficial owners (UBO)
Declare who owns the company and at what percentage, for the personal tax estimate and the relationship with your accountant.
The Beneficiaries (UBO) section lists the company's beneficial owners, that is the natural persons who directly or indirectly hold more than 25% of the capital, and each one's share. Novadesko uses it to split the company result in each beneficiary's personal tax estimate and to designate the directors your accountant can always reach. Beneficiaries are chosen among your company's users.
What you will do
- Add each beneficial owner.
- Split the capital to reach 100%.
- Mark the founder or founders.
Add a beneficiary
- Open Settings, Beneficiaries (UBO) section, then click Add.
- In the « Ajouter un bénéficiaire » (add a beneficiary) window, search for the person by name or e-mail among the company's users, then click them.
- The line appears with the remaining share up to 100%. Correct the percentage in the % field on the right.
- In the line menu, choose « Marquer fondateur » (mark as founder) if the person created the company; the Founder badge is shown.
In the desktop and mobile app, the list synchronises on its own after each change, confirmed by Saved. On web.novadesko.com, click Save after your changes; the message "Beneficiaries saved" confirms.

Total check
The banner above the list follows the split:

A total other than 100% does not prevent saving: the tax estimate calculation uses the percentages entered as they are. Still, check that the sum is right before viewing your estimates. On the web, at least one beneficiary is required to save.
Remove a beneficiary
In the line menu, choose Remove. The person remains a user of the company; only their share disappears. To remove the badge, use « Retirer le statut fondateur » (remove founder status).
What Novadesko does with it
- Tax estimate: each beneficiary's share determines the portion of the result included in their personal estimate.
- Accountant contacts: beneficiaries can always be reached by your accounting firm in Messenger, without manual activation. See Accounting and accounting firm.
- Information: people who have no Novadesko user account cannot be added. Create their access first.
This section is an internal register. It does not replace the declaration of your beneficial owners to the UBO register of the FPS Finance, which remains the responsibility of the company or its representative.
