Bank link on the dashboard
The account cards, the cash register and the total cash position shown on the dashboard, and how to connect a bank from this screen.
The Bank link widget places your bank balances and your cash register directly below the key figures. It only appears if bank synchronisation is available in your plan or if a bank is already linked. The balances are those reported by the bank, independent of the chosen period.
- The widget sits right below the key indicators.
- Each linked account shows the balance reported by the bank.
- The cash register shows the cash balance.
- Total treasury adds up the accounts and the cash register.
The cards
Each card takes on the bank's colour and logo.
| Card | Content |
|---|---|
| A synchronised account | Bank name, last four characters of the IBAN (…9923), balance, bar and "x % of treasury", badge with the number of unread movements |
| Cash (register or cash in hand) | Cash register balance computed from the cash movements |
| Total cash | Sum of the bank balances and the cash register, "2 account(s) + cash register", See transactions link |
The "% of treasury" share is computed on positive balances only. An account in the red shows 0 %.
Clicking an account card opens Bank Sync; clicking Cash or Total cash opens the Transactions list.
The widget header
- The « {n} nouv. » (n new) badge shows the number of unread bank movements, to be justified in Bank Sync.
- « Connexion à renouveler » (connection to renew) appears in amber when a bank's PSD2 consent has expired. The link leads to the reconnection page.
- See transactions opens Bank Sync.
As long as no bank is linked, the widget shows a single line: « Connectez votre banque pour synchroniser vos transactions automatiquement. » (connect your bank to synchronise your transactions automatically).
- Without a linked bank, the widget shrinks to a single line.
- The message invites you to connect your bank.
- You connect it from the bank menu.
Connecting a bank from the dashboard
- Click « Connecter un compte bancaire » (connect a bank account) in the amber banner, or Configure in the Missing bank account notification.
- The « Reliez votre compte bancaire » (link your bank account) window recalls the four benefits: « Chaque paiement lié » (every payment linked), « Documents conformes » (compliant documents), « Fichier CODA pour votre comptable » (CODA file for your accountant), « 100 % sécurisé » (100 % secure).
- Click « Connecter ma banque » (connect my bank). The PSD2 journey described in Connect your bank starts: country, account type, bank, consent in the browser.
- On a computer, « Continuer sur mon smartphone » (continue on my smartphone) opens the same page on web.novadesko.com so you can confirm the consent with your bank's app.
- Later closes the window; it will come back on a later visit.
Once the bank is linked, the cards appear the next time the dashboard reloads and the Transactions column of the key figures block gains the Bank balance line and the Sync active badge.
The Missing bank account banner concerns the IBAN shown on your invoices and used by Peppol. It can remain visible even with a synchronised bank as long as no default account is set in Bank accounts.
Refreshing the balances
The balances refresh each time the dashboard opens and each time the period changes. To force a read, open Bank Sync and click Refresh; the Last sync card shows the date of the last successful read.
The widget only shows accounts linked through Bank Sync. An IBAN typed by hand in the settings has no balance and does not appear here. The Compact / Cards option of the web customisation drawer does not exist in the app, which always shows the cards.
