The widgets

The list of dashboard widgets, what each one shows and where its data comes from.

The dashboard is made up of independent widgets, shown in a fixed order from top to bottom. The Customize window lets you hide the ones you do not need; this page describes each of them, in the order they appear on screen.

The dashboard lists
  1. The recent transactions of the period.
  2. The best customers, ranked by revenue.
  3. The unpaid invoices, with their count.
  4. Each row shows the customer, the due date and the remaining balance.

Useful details

Statistics. The VAT column changes its title according to the sign of the balance: VAT due or VAT recoverable. The Transactions column only shows the Bank balance line if a bank is linked.

Best sellers. The first three ranks are gold. If stock management is active in the catalogue, a gauge shows the remaining stock: red at zero, amber below the alert threshold, green otherwise. Clicking a product opens its record.

Latest transactions. A transfer reconciled with the bank carries the bank's logo and colour; the other movements carry the payment method icon. A document number is a link to the invoice or purchase; a line without a document shows its reason, or Unknown.

Unpaid invoices. The badge in the header counts the open invoices. A passed due date comes with the delay (-112d) and the Overdue status; otherwise the status is Unpaid. The amount shows the remaining balance above the total.

Geographic areas. The ranking groups customers by postcode and country; a customer without a postcode is not included.

Note

The Best sellers, Top customers and Geographic areas widgets are hidden automatically when the period contains no sales, even if they are switched on in Customize.

Widgets reserved for the web version

Warning

The Today's Tasks (tasks, agenda, VAT deadlines), Upcoming appointments, Payment plans, Credits and Monthly expenses widgets exist on web.novadesko.com but not in the app. The Overview (summary mode for the key figures) and the Record a settlement button on the VAT card are also reserved for the web.

Tip

Each list ends with a View all link that opens the full screen: catalogue, transactions, customers or invoices. Use it rather than the sidebar to keep the context of the period.
