Logo, icon and brand colours: what dresses your documents, your public profile and your Nova VCard.

The Branding section gathers the logo, the icon and the two colours of your brand. The logo appears in the header of your PDF documents; the icon serves as the company avatar in the sidebar and in the settings; the colours dress your public profile, your Nova VCard and the e-mail signature. As long as no image is uploaded, Novadesko shows the first letter of the trade name on a gradient of your two colours.

What you will do

  • Upload a logo and an icon.
  • Choose a primary colour and a secondary colour.
  • Check the result in the preview.

Upload the logo and the icon

  1. Open Settings, Branding section.
  2. In the Logo tile, click Click to upload or drag and drop the file. Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, SVG or WebP, 5 MB maximum.
  3. Do the same in the Icon tile. Choose a square image, in PNG or SVG.
  4. The message « Image enregistrée » (image saved) confirms the upload; the preview updates.

Once the image is in place, the tile shows the thumbnail with two buttons: Change to upload another file, Delete to remove it (a « Supprimer l'image ? » (delete the image?) confirmation is requested).

Note

Uploading the logo and the icon works in the desktop and mobile app just as on the web. A file that is too heavy is refused with the message "File too large (max 5 MB)". On the web, HEIC and HEIF formats are also accepted.

Choose the colours

  1. Click the round swatch to the left of Primary Color: a palette of twenty colours opens. Click one of them.
  2. Or type a six-character hexadecimal code directly in the field, without the # (for example 5902A9). The colour is saved as soon as the code is complete.
  3. Repeat for Secondary Color.

The « Aperçu de votre identité visuelle » (preview of your visual identity) block under the fields shows the resulting gradient with the trade name.

Tip

Prefer a PNG or SVG logo on a transparent background: it is shown on white in documents and on your primary colour in the VCard. Check the contrast between the two colours, as the text of the business card is printed in white on the gradient.

E-mail signature

On web.novadesko.com, the Branding section also offers an Email signature generator reserved for the Pro and Ultimate plans. Six templates are available (Modern, Classic, Minimal, Corporate, Banner, Elegant). The signature uses your profile photo, the logo or icon from this section, your contact details and your social networks. The editable fields are the full name, the job title, the company, a tagline, the e-mail, the website, the phone, the mobile, the address, the primary colour and the text colour. The Copy signature button places the HTML in the clipboard; a dedicated copy page makes installation easier in Mail, Gmail, Outlook or on iPhone.

Warning

The signature generator is set up on web.novadesko.com. It is not shown in the Branding section of the desktop and mobile app.
